Casting Call: A new musical based on Roald Dahl's "Matilda" is coming to Broadway. Auditions for the role of Matilda are being held on Sunday, September 30th at Pearl Studios, located at 519 Eighth Avenue, 12th floor, Studio C. Check-in starts at 10 a.m. They are looking for girls between the ages of 8 and 10, no taller than 4'4." Strong singer, confident speaker, with a good understanding of text and an intelligent approach to acting. No prior experience is necessary. Girls should bring a recent photograph, a short story or poem in the style of Roald Dahl, sheet music for a short song and a resume if you have one.
